It’s not very often that we get something for nothing, but (as soon as it’s finished and released) the guys over at DICE are doing just that with Battlefield Heroes.

A new addition to the Battlefield franchise, this new offering differs from previous offering firstly because it is free, and secondly because it doesn’t in anyway focus on producing true to life graphics, instead it focuses on gameplay and the funfactor.
Because of this the proposed machine spec needed to run the game should be quite low* it means that you dont have to upgrade you computer spending hundreds of pounds just to get in on the action.
The game also features a nifty character customiser, allwoing to alter not just the class of your character but the look and accessories of your character.
Why is it free, the same way we offer access to our websites for free, advertising, on the main screen there will be a clickable advert which I am guessing people will be able to buy into and also as the game is distributed only via the internet I am guessing they’ll be having adverts within the download pages.
However they do it the game itself looks like a giggle and I for one cant wait to give it a go.
